After many years of retailing in their Jewellery store, Roger and Barbara Jennings sold their store in Cambridge. Their passion now is their fully equipped "country workshop'. They decided to forego the retail side of the business and to concentrate on the repair and restoration of clocks, watches, barometers, and musical boxes. Together with pearl re-stringing they offer a full repair workshop. Serving the towns of Cambridge, Hamilton and Taupo on a weekly basis, together with all the local towns. Free local collection and delivery. Visitors welcome but call first for an appointment please.
Roger Jennings completed an apprenticeship with the British Horological Institute and studied at the school of watchmaking and silver smithing in the early seventies.
In 1973 he and his wife Barbara opened up their first watchmakers and jewellers store in New Zealand. Further shops were opened in England and New Zealand. In 1990 they opened Jennings Jewellers in Cambridge NZ winning TOP SHOP in their first year. They owned this store for the next 22 years. In August 2012 Roger and Barbara decided it was time for a change, so they sold their shop, and concentrated on the repair and restoration side of the business and opened "The Clock and Watch Workshop" at their home in Te Miro, Cambridge.
